LEGEND SERIES · 1966 WORLD CUP · ENGLISH SPARKLING
In 1966, Sir Geoff Hurst made sporting history. Sixty years later, he is celebrating it with a bottle of English sparkling wine. Created by cricket legend Sir Ian Botham, footballing legend Sir Geoff Hurst and Balfour Winery, the first wine in the new Legends Series marks the anniversary of England's unforgettable World Cup triumph. Hurst became the first — and still only — player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final, including the famous third goal that sealed England's 4–2 victory over West Germany. Working alongside Balfour winemaker Fergus Elias, Botham and Hurst helped create this bespoke, Pinot Noir-dominant English sparkling wine from Balfour's estate in Kent. Fresh, elegant and beautifully vibrant, Cuvée 66 brings together English winemaking and English sporting history in one very special bottle.
A sparkling tribute to England's greatest footballing moment.
