An unforgettable evening of exceptional wine, heavenly food and wonderful company as Sporting Wine Club members joined founding winemaker Schalk Burger at the iconic Quaglino’s in London.

The evening was about much more than tasting great wine. Schalk brought each bottle to life with his phenomenal storytelling, sharing the passion, knowledge and craftsmanship behind the Welbedacht wines. From the winemaking process to the stories behind the estate, our members had a unique opportunity to learn from the man himself and gain a deeper appreciation for the wines in their glasses.

Set against the glamour of Quaglino’s, with its beautiful surroundings and outstanding food, it was a truly special experience — full of fascinating insights, lively conversation and plenty of memorable moments.
