The story behind
The Wine
We were thrilled when our brilliant PA, Michelle, introduced us to Susannah Ricci of Yotes Court in Kent—a connection that brought not just a new sport to our portfolio, but a new country, too. Horse racing and English wine were both high on our wish list, and after just one tasting, we knew we’d found something special.
We’re now proud to offer award-winning English wines from Yotes Court—adding not just one, but three new grape varieties to our collection.
These elegant English whites and a beautifully crisp pale rosé have already become firm favourites with our customers and members due to their standout quality.

Sporting Connection
Susannah Ricci has been a prominent figure in National Hunt Racing since 2005, alongside her husband Richard. Most of their horses have been trained by legendary Champion Trainer Willie Mullins and ridden by the iconic Ruby Walsh. Her distinctive green and pink silks have inspired the vibrant branding behind the Yotes Court wine range.
With a string of high-profile victories to her name—including stars like Annie Power, Chacun Pour Soi, and Livelovelaugh—Susannah’s racing legacy is as colourful as it is accomplished. Livelovelaugh in particular feels like a perfect reflection of the Sporting Wine Club spirit—especially when you add a glass of wine into the mix.

The wines are crafted in Mereworth, Kent, where the rocky soils and south-facing slopes create exceptional growing conditions. Renowned Master of Wine Stephen Skelton has praised the site as, “the best I have ever planted”—a remarkable endorsement from someone who has assessed over 100 vineyard sites across the UK.
As one of England’s leading vineyards, Yotes Court is setting a new standard for English wine. Their commitment to quality and sustainability is reflected in their accreditation under the Sustainable Wines of Great Britain scheme, placing them among a select group of producers driving the future of responsible winemaking in the UK.
