Louis Oosthuizen is a renowned South African professional golfer who has earned global recognition for his achievements on the international stage. Born on October 19, 1982, in Mossel Bay, he turned professional in 2002 and has since enjoyed a distinguished career, highlighted by his victory at the 2010 Open Championship — one of golf’s four prestigious majors. With multiple European Tour wins and appearances representing South Africa in international events, including the Olympics, Louis is admired for his smooth, effortless swing — a quality that mirrors the elegance and balance found in his wines.

Boschkloof is a 25-hectare boutique wine estate located just 8km west of Stellenbosch, in one of South Africa’s most prestigious red wine regions. Renowned for producing some of the country’s finest grapes, Boschkloof is the proud home of Louis57 Wines — a collection that has earned 29 accolades to date for its exceptional character, aromatic complexity, and impressive ageing potential.

Founder Jacques Borman brings decades of winemaking expertise to the estate, having spent 25 years at the iconic La Motte Wine Estate in Franschhoek before going on to develop the renowned Rupert & Rothschild international label. Today, alongside his son Reenen, Jacques crafts world-class wines from their private estate. Reenen’s hands-on approach, deep connection to the land, and visionary winemaking style have positioned Boschkloof among the most exciting producers in South Africa, consistently earning acclaim across a range of prestigious wine categories.
