SWC Partnership With Individual Restaurants


We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Individual Restaurants to bring you their Club Individual loyalty card with a £30 welcome dining gift.

Individual Restaurants brands are nationwide so you can dine across the whole of the UK.  Their restaurants include Piccolino, Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant, The Restaurant Bar & Grill, Opera Grill and Bank Restaurant & Bar

Club Individual is a lifestyle reward card which is free to join. As a member, every time you visit you will receive 5% of your bill back on to your card in points, whether it’s for a quick drink or a three-course meal. The full list of rewards are:

  1. £30 welcome dining gift for all Sporting Wine Club Members
  2. 5% of your spend back on to your card in points
  3. Double points one week either side of your birthday
  4. Double point/triple point seasonal promotions
  5. 50% of food spend in January back on to your card in points
  6. Complimentary room hire in our restaurants with event spaces

SWC and Chinese Cricket Club Restaurant Partnership


We are delighted to announce our partnership with Chinese Cricket Club Restaurant

Chinese Cricket Club Restaurant was founded in London in 2009  and is named in honour of the original Chinese National Cricket team, who played their first international match in that year.  It has since become one of the The City of London’s most distinguished Chinese restaurants, with Head Chef Ken Wang’s dedication to Chinese cuisine the restaurant has achieved it’s first AA Rosette.

The restaurant is stocking our cricketing portfolio, which complements their classic Chinese dishes, contemporised with neo-oriental flair, and their delicious dim-sum perfectly.  We highly advise booking a table soon!  Chinese Cricket Club Restaurant can be found within Crowne Plaza London – The City, 19 New Bridge Street, London EC4V 6DB.

Announcing the Sporting Wine Club & Caldy Rugby Club Partnership


Sporting Wine Club is proud to announce that it has become the wine partner to Caldy Rugby Club who have just won promotion to National League One. They will be hosting some of England’s most famous names such as Rosslyn Park and Blackheath.

 I travelled up to the Wirral for the Caldy Sevens a couple of weeks ago to introduce both myself and the wines.  The Meerkat range and the Welbedacht Estate Wines of Schalk Burger went down well, especially the Chenin Blanc and the Cabernet Sauvignon. The Sumaridge Maritimus was a favourite, aptly named as the picturesque ground overlooks the sea. Many people sampled and loved the Collalbrigo Pinot Grigio.

 Many of our other wines were on display and will be sold through the year at Caldy Rugby.

 Sadly, one of their young former players Billy Woof was injured recently and due to complications had a lower leg amputation. I engaged in some spontaneous fundraising, auctioning off some “Weight in Wine” prizes and an exclusive winetasting event plus tickets for next years European Rugby Finals in Bilbao.

This combined with a donation from Wasps Legends via Peter Scrivener raised more than £6,000 – the least we could do but again one of the reasons we belong to Sporting Wine Club.
