We are delighted to announce that we are now the exclusive suppliers of wine to the Chinese Cricket Club in Blackfriars. This relationship has developed over the summer and the customers of this wonderful restaurant have all voted with their palates to justify the stocking of all our wines. It is a wonderful moment for Sporting Wine Club in our early development and many of our members have already been to the restaurant, either for a wine tasting or to sample their fantastic cuisine.
Here is a snapshot of some of our wines but they are all there on the list.
We would like to thank Paul, Evaldas, Hang and all the team at Chinese Cricket Club for their support and enthusiastic backing of our company and everything it stands for.
Please support us and Chinese Cricket Club by spending some time there enjoying great food, wine and great company in a classical and City sporting atmosphere.
Simon & Chris
Apart from their love of sporting charities and support for African Township rugby, Sumaridge Wine Estate owners Simon and Holly have been big donors to Elephant Charities over the years and so branded their wonderful Rosé in the name of Tara, the legendary Asian Elephant.
Our exclusive partnership with the Chinese Cricket Club Restaurant in Blackfriars started last week, as does their firm commitment to our Tara!
It was fitting that I met with Hugh Wilson, ex Surrey fast bowler, Chairman of Lloyds Cricket and SWC member, to sample the first bottle of Tara Rosé to be opened at Chinese Cricket Club. A spring like sunny day was a perfect accompaniment and we look forward to a summer of Sporting Wine with Lloyds Cricket as well as a few runs, wickets and victories along the way.
You may have spotted the Moulin D’Issan (our best selling Bordeaux Blend) in the corner of the picture to celebrate Jacky Lorenzetti’s Racing 92 victory over Clermont in the quarter finals of the European Rugby’s Champions Cup.
We are delighted to announce our partnership with Chinese Cricket Club Restaurant
Chinese Cricket Club Restaurant was founded in London in 2009 and is named in honour of the original Chinese National Cricket team, who played their first international match in that year. It has since become one of the The City of London’s most distinguished Chinese restaurants, with Head Chef Ken Wang’s dedication to Chinese cuisine the restaurant has achieved it’s first AA Rosette.
The restaurant is stocking our cricketing portfolio, which complements their classic Chinese dishes, contemporised with neo-oriental flair, and their delicious dim-sum perfectly. We highly advise booking a table soon! Chinese Cricket Club Restaurant can be found within Crowne Plaza London – The City, 19 New Bridge Street, London EC4V 6DB.
