Born from Ed Jackson’s extraordinary comeback from a life-changing accident, Vapoura is a rum with resilience at its heart. Ed and fellow former rugby player Olly Barkley began the journey after Ed’s recovery, eventually turning their shared love of rum into a completely English-made spirit brand. Chapter One is an elegant, naturally spiced rum, distilled in small batches using copper stills and finished in 50-litre bourbon casks for added richness and depth. Blood orange, vanilla, cardamom, nutmeg, pink peppercorn and ginger create a warm, layered profile that is beautifully balanced rather than overly sweet.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Rich golden amber with warm copper hues.
Nose: Fragrant blood orange and vanilla, with cardamom, ginger, nutmeg and gentle peppery spice.
Palate: Warm and beautifully rounded, with sweet blood orange and vanilla balanced by aromatic cardamom, nutmeg, ginger and pink peppercorn. Bourbon-cask finishing adds richness, depth and a gentle oak character.
Finish: Smooth, warming and lingering, with vanilla, orange peel and gentle spice.
