Created to celebrate 150 years of Scarlets rugby, The 1872 is a rich South African blend of Merlot, Mourvèdre and Syrah, made by Springbok legend Schalk Burger at Welbedacht, with all profits donated to the Scarlets Community Foundation to support grassroots rugby.

- Ripe black fruit and dark berries mingle with pepper, warming spice and savoury black olive.

- Rich and generous, combining ripe black fruit and spicy savoury notes with plummy, raspberry-rich Merlot, supported by the depth of Syrah and Mourvèdre.

- Long and savoury, with lingering black fruit, peppery spice and a gentle olive character.
