Vineyard and Winemaking
The 2019 Barossa Valley vintage was one of the hottest and driest on record, producing low yields of highly concentrated grapes displaying incredible depth of flavour and colour. Grapes are delicately handled and fermented in small batches to enhance balance and structure. Aged in French oak resulting in a beautifully rich and expressive Barossa Shiraz of exceptional colour, flavour and longevity.
Tasting Note
Intense deep ruby colour. Rich and complex nose of plum, mocha and spiy fruit with subtle vanilla notes and a hint of anise. The palate is round and full with flavours that mirror the nose, elegant, well integrated tannin and a persistent finish.
Suitability For Drinking
Ready to drink now due to extended oak and bottle aging before release. With careful cellaring will become more complex and in 2-3 years, reaching its full potential in 5-10 years following release.
