CRICKET COLLECTION · BAROSSA VALLEY · SINGLE VINEYARD SHIRAZ
From a discreet parcel of premium Shiraz in the heart of South Australia's Barossa Valley comes this exceptional single-vineyard wine, blended by Sir Ian Botham in collaboration with Nick Badrice, Head Winemaker at Dorrien Estate. The Sir Ian collection represents Botham's most personal and ambitious wines — small parcels made with renowned Australian winemakers and selected according to his own taste and vision. The Barossa Shiraz is robust and full-bodied, with the region's trademark concentration and depth, while fine-grained tannins, generous dark fruit, mocha, chocolate, spice and beautifully integrated oak bring structure and sophistication. It is a serious wine from one of Australia's great Shiraz regions, and one in which Botham's passion for wine is every bit as evident as his passion for cricket.
A serious Barossa Shiraz with the character, concentration and pedigree to match the legend behind it.

“This is exactly what you want from a great Barossa Shiraz — rich, powerful and full of dark fruit, but with enough structure to keep it beautifully balanced. Knowing Beefy had a hand in selecting and blending it makes it even more special.” - Alex H
James Scarcebrook of The Intrepid Wino, who tasted the original Sir Ian range in 2018, described the 2013 Barossa Shiraz as extremely intense, dense and dark, with vanilla and blueberry character and significant oak influence. He felt it had plenty of concentration and potential, while noting that the oak was still prominent at the time of tasting. Calibre – positive review of the 2013 vintage, describing it as a serious, rich and concentrated Barossa Shiraz with depth and length.
