Vineyard and Winemaking
The 2018 Adelaide Hills vintage was cool and late, with high rainfall early in the season followed by a long, dry ripening period that delivered vibrant flavour and colour. Fruit was sourced from The Lane vineyard at 450m altitude, where gravel and limestone soils produce premium Chardonnay. Hand-harvested whole bunches were naturally fermented in French oak (50% new) and matured for nine months on lees without stirring or malolactic fermentation, creating a poised, precise and expressive wine.
