Founded by former NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe, Bledsoe Family Winery is a celebration of the Walla Walla Valley and the place Drew returned to after his NFL career. The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, broad-shouldered expression of the region, bringing together Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot from Bledsoe's vineyard sites. Awarded 95 points and Gold at the Decanter World Wine Awards, as well as 94 points and No. 17 in Wine Spectator's Top 100 of 2024, it combines ripe blackberry and currant with black olive, stony mineral and liquorice, building towards firm, finely grained tannins and a long, powerful finish.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep, saturated ruby-red with a rich, concentrated core.
Nose: Blackberry and dark cherry with graphite, wood shavings, baking spice and subtle savoury mineral character.
Palate: Broad-shouldered and richly detailed, with blackberry and currant layered with black olive, stony mineral and liquorice, supported by fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity.
Finish: Long and persistent, with firm yet polished tannins, dark fruit, mineral character and savoury spice carrying through the finish.
