SINGLE VINEYARD · BAKLEIBLOK · CINSAULT

From the Bakleiblok at Welbedacht comes this distinctive expression of Cinsault, with a story as characterful as the wine itself. Bakleiblok — meaning “fighting block” — was named after two workers who famously disagreed over whose care produced the finest grapes. Today, the 32-year-old Cinsault vines have settled the argument, producing an award-winning wine of remarkable character. They say competition brings out the best in people. At Welbedacht, it even gave a vineyard its name.

A beautifully characterful Cinsault with the fighting spirit of the Bakleiblok running through every bottle.
