Dear SWC Members,

We are tantalisingly close to seeing you all again – absence makes the heart grow fonder and we cannot wait to get together.

Meantime we are really excited to announce a partnership with London based 28º–50º restaurant chain, owned by the chairman of Wasps Rugby, Richard Green. It has a wonderful wine heritage that fits perfectly with us, see some more detail below. This also demonstrates some of the great benefits of being a member.

If you love classic food and fine wine, you’ll love 28º–50º, it’s name deriving from the latitudes at which fine grapes are grown. The 28°-50° Wine Workshop & Kitchen concept takes the traditional wine bar experience to a whole new level, with impeccable food and extensive wine choices led by the constant presence of expert sommeliers. It is a relaxed, approachable atmosphere with stylish surroundings, whether in Marylebone Rd, Covent Garden, Chelsea or South Kensington, their four restaurants.

This new partnership allows Sporting Wine Club members to enjoy a selection of our wines in a restaurant environment at 50% off their listed bottle price, meaning you can sit back, relax, and let their Sommeliers pour a glass for you, whilst enjoying great food.

Their venues all have ample private dining possibilities, and the partnerships means that you can reap the benefits through your membership - be it a client lunch or a bespoke group wine tasting.

We will be organising our first evening at 28º–50º Covent Garden on July 21st and you should have had this save the date, please do reply! Do not leave it till then of course, but go in and try any of the four 28º–50º’s for yourself, letting them know that you are an SWC member to redeem the offer.

I have sampled 28º–50º myself and I can assure everyone that you will not be disappointed!

Simon and the SWC team.
